January Diary

January 22, 2010

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ…

Thank you so much for your support over the years. I really appreciate it very much and with much prayer, disappointment, and hope it now seems that my album will hit Lifeway in February of 2010.

I hope and pray it comes to pass but in this business you cant be sure of anything until you see it!

I visited Thailand this week and visited the churches there and I can tell you that they are on fire for Christ like no other. Talking to someone in the cab, they want to come to church. Talk to someone at lunch, they want to come to church. People there are so hungry for something different and when they feel the Lord it’s no going back. I spent a week there and reached out to people, supported the churches we have planted, and energized them.

Please pray for Thailand that it continues to grow. The enemy has planted there well, and its a war there like no other.

P

    Phil,

I like your music and enjoy listening to your newly released songs. The song titled “A New Song” is my favorite.

I listened to it several times, and it is fresh and alive. When I listen to it, I can see you on a hilltop singing to people who then worship with you after the concerts.

You are not just singing a tune, you are living in a way that speaks volumes to your integrity by taking the time after the concerts to get to know people who come to hear you — and I appreciate that patience in today’s world.

    Keep up the good work.

I just read this and I gotta tell you thank you so much for “understanding” that song. It’s an amazing song. I could follow my flesh and write “hits” because those of you that have followed my career know all to well I can write a hit, but this time around I let the Holy Spirit write these songs. That’s what the Lord needed, a “new song”.

Thanks for your support, it really means allot to me.

Got something to say?
